Job Title: Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers in Birmingham and Tamworth

Pay: £9.28 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay) - Temporary
We are currently recruiting to supply agency staff to a leading Midlands based day care organisation. Our client has multiple locations in Birmingham and Tamworth. Shift patterns are 9am-3pm Monday to Friday. Secondments here could lead to full-time contractual employment between our staff (you) and client (Day Care Centre). This is an exciting opportunity, particularly if your long-term goal is full-time employment as a Support Worker.
Our client caters for adults aged 16+ with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, challenging behaviour, mental health, complex needs, autism and brain injuries.
Experience in health and social care, compassion and an ability to engage in a caring manner are the essential pre-requisites required to be considered for this role.

Job Title: Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers in Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley and Wolverhampton.

Pay: From £8.57 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay) - Temporary
You must be able to demonstrate compassion, dedication and empathy to the elderly and young adult Service Users you care for. You will be required to provide quality and effective person centered care and support to Service Users in Nursing Homes, Care Homes and Learning Disability Units. Your approach to caring will be both supportive and productive, enabling them to live their lives as independently as possible.
  • at least six months’ paid experience in a Nursing/Care Home or Assisted Living environment within the last three years
  • although not essential, an NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care is beneficial.
  • willing to take part in training updates, which is provided
  • good verbal and written Communication Skills
  • caring, enthusiastic and reliable
  • ability to work as a team member
  • ability to work within challenging situations

Current Practical Manual Handling Certificate will be an advantage to starting immediately, although all mandatory training will be provided before your first assignment.
